Holiday Brews Make Debuts at Starbucks

Do you love Christmas time and sipping on coffee? Well, something that recently came out are the Holiday drinks at Starbucks! On November 7th, Starbucks announced that the coffee house chain has brewed up some festive drinks on the menu. Not only that, but the drinks will be served in the company’s newest holiday designed cups.

You may be wondering what drinks they came out with. Well, Starbucks stirred up some new ingredient combinations and these are a few beverages that have been catching a customer’s attention. First up, there is the Peppermint Mocha. The Peppermint Mocha drink is a fan-favorite, containing espresso roast with steamed milk, delicious mocha sauce, peppermint-flavored syrup, and topped with whip cream and dark chocolate curls. The drink can be served hot or over ice depending on what you may prefer. The peppermint invites the Christmas spirit and people like to describe this drink as rich. Perhaps the best part about this beverage is its comparable calorie count to your favorite non-diet pop brands.

The next drink being brought to the menu this winter is the Eggnog Latte. The Eggnog Latte consists of some shots of espresso, steamed eggnog, and milk. To garnish the drink, they add nutmeg and brown sugar to the top. This drink is very seasonal and brings a lot of joy. It has a foamy texture at the top of the drink and has this wonderful creamy eggnog mixture below. This drink is also generally served with ice.  Though the drink packs in more calories than any other holiday menu item, the holiday season is a great time to treat yourself to something in which you might not ordinarily imbibe.

The popular drink that most customers tend to buy this time of year is the Toasted White Chocolate Mocha. This delightful drink has a shot of Starbucks ’ signature espresso, steamed milk, and flavors of caramelized white chocolate. This drink is then topped with whip cream, sugar sparkles, and edible white pearls. Many people like to describe this drink as “drinking candy in a cup.” It is so sweet and this drink best captures the holiday feel to it. The Toasted White Chocolate Mocha can be served to your preference of hot or cold. This beverage is very tasteful, but not only that, it holds fewer calories than some sugary drinks you might have had.

The last drink to get at Starbucks is Caramel Bruleé Latte. It has a base of espresso and steamed milk.  Then, the baristas add the caramel bruleé sauce and top it with whip cream and sweet caramel pieces. The Bustle Digital Group states, “Bruleé is a French word that means burned. This drink sets off a sugary smokey-ish taste and is described to be super sweet and a lot of caramel. This flavorful drink can be served hot or cold. If you have some calories to spare, then looking into this drink may be something for you. It does have fewer calories than the Eggnog Latte, but more than the White Chocolate and Peppermint Mocha.
