When it comes to college, one of the most important things you can do is go on college visits. Choosing a college to further your education can be a challenge, but there are so many ways to make it less difficult and scary. Doing this simple task will help you make the best decision for your future. Luckily, this task is an easy one to do, too! College visits allow your five senses a chance to explore.
For one thing, college visits give you a closer look at both the academic and non-academic portions of the campus. Forget online photos or a virtual tour! The best way to really see the school of your dreams is to see it in person. Any secrets of the cafeteria, dorms, classrooms, and work spaces are often revealed when seen with one’s own eyes. You may even be able to taste the cafeteria food!
Another must for a college visit is the chance to meet with advisors and professors. Advisors can help you get in touch with coaches, clubs, or other organizations that may come to interest. You can hear all of the activities to get involved in at the school and maybe even get a chance to meet a coach and feel the turf with your own feet. It is very important to get involved, especially in college. This will help you meet new people, make friends and give motivation to stay in school and graduate. Smell all of the new chances you will have!
There are many ways to get in touch with colleges for a visit. Going to the schools website and finding the visit section is the easiest and most efficient way to do so. You can also go to college fairs which are allowed almost anywhere, especially at CHS!
Overall, college visits are very important and everyone should visit colleges of interest at some point in high school. While going to college may be scary, these trips can make the decision for future education much easier. College is supposed to be fun, and visiting is the best way to find out if your school of choice will be.
