Discoverers Fight Hard Over Weekend

Over the weekend the Discoverer boys basketball took on the Lexington Minutemen and the Aurora Huskies.

Starting Fri. versus the Minutemen, the Discoverers fought hard but ultimately lost with a final score of 52-47. Columbus’s top scorer was senior, Kade Nelson, with a total of 14 points. Closely behind him were freshman Ernest Hausmann and sophomore Garrett Esch, both scoring 13 points. Junior Landon Thompson had seven points to finish the game.

The boys hit the road on Sat. to play the Huskies. The final score was 58-38 favoring the Aurora Huskies. Freshman Ernest Hausmann led the team with a total of 13 points. Behind him with nine points was junior Landon Thompson. Other scorers were Sam Kwapnioski, Kade Nelson, Ean Luebbe and Garrett Esch.

Catch the Discoverers at home this Tues, Jan. 15 against the Elkhorn Antlers. The start time for the game is 7:30pm. Go Discoverers!
