Book reviews from a book freak- Misery by Stephen King

Stephen King is known as the “King of Horror,” and his novel Misery certainly shows why. The novel follows writer Paul Sheldon, who after a serious car crash is rescued by a lady named Annie Wilkes, who claims to be his biggest fan. After the rescue, Annie takes him to her remote cabin to recover, but over time, he starts to realize she is obsessed with him and will not allow him to leave.

Annie’s obsession with Paul becomes abusive once she realizes that he plans to kill one of the main character in his novels. As Paul tries to figure out a plan to escape the cabin, Annie grows increasingly violent as she forces him to rewrite the story to her twisted view.

Without giving any spoilers for the conclusion of the story, I will say that it is definitely a page-turner, and I would recommend it to any person who is a fan of suspense stories and/or movies.

The book will keep you up into the late hours of the night, wondering what will happen next, and how it’s going to end.
