Quote of the Week: John Lennon

"When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down 'happy'. They told me I didn't understand the assignment, and I told them they didn't understand life."-John Lennon

I love this quote because it represents the idea that happiness is the most important thing in life. You can have everything you want in life but if you're not happy then what's the point? Everyone should strive to be completely happy and fulfilled with their lives. Society should start to equate success to happiness. Being happy gives us the motivation to pursue and accomplish our goals in life. I believe that if we truly want to achieve success, we first need to strive for true happiness.

Another quote from John Lennon is,  “You may say I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one. I hope some day you'll join us and the world will be as one." This famous line comes from his song "Imagine." The inspirational song talks about the world living as one and people treating each other kindly. Throughout his life, Lennon strove for and dreamed about world peace.

His songs with "The Beatles" and the way he conducted himself reflected his beliefs about happiness and possibilities.
