The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers first aired on August 28, 1993 on the Fox kids afternoon block. It was an American remake of the very popular television show Super Sentai. Power Rangers then went on for several years. Currently the show is in it's twenty fourth season under the name Power Rangers Ninja Steel. This year on March 24, 2017 , Lionsgate will be releasing Power Rangers. It is a reboot of the first three seasons of Saban's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers television show.

The release of Power Rangers will breath new life into the franchise not only for nostalgic fans but also for new fans of the franchise. Many more Power Ranger movies are planned and in my opinion will bring different versions of the rangers to live action which makes me very excited! To put it simply , this is power rangers with a budget. The same over exaggerated explosions and colorful costumes will be present but this time they will have a budget of 120 million dollars.
