Day Of The Singles: Un-Valentines

There many great things about Un-Valentine's day. Un-Valentine's day is the same day as Valentine’s Day but just for yourself or a friendly love day. Not everything is romantic and lovey-dovey. You get to be you! You do not have to worry about how you look or if you have enough money for a date. You can just chill out and do your own thing stress-free.  If you’ve never had an Un-Valentine’s Day, shoot your Cupid’s Arrow at one of the following ideas!

Yourself Date

You could take yourself on a solo date! Since loveday is on a Tuesday you can take yourself to the movies for $5 movie night! If you don't want to go out, you can stay home and bake! Baking is relaxing and rewarding in the end (if you do it right). To make it even more fun, invite a friend on your Un-Valentine’s Day Date to double the fun!

Buying that one thing

Valentine’s is usually about treating your special someone to that one thing they’ve had their eye on in the name of love. Well, when you’re celebrating Un-Valentine’s Day, YOU are your own special someone!  Treat yourself! That could be a service you've been wanting like getting your hair done or your truck detailed. Maybe you want an object like that pair of shoes or boots you've been wanting. Just treat yourself to make yourself happy!

Chill out

Chilling out can be whatever you decide to make of it. That might entail taking a nap all day or absolutely demolishing a pizza followed by sitting on the couch to watch a movie. Girls may take an “everything-shower” (one that girls use to take care of “everything” on their personal hygiene lists) and use those special, expensive soaps. Boys, you might just sit and watch an old football game or play Xbox.  No matter what, you’re guaranteed to come out of your Un-Valentine’s Day Chill Out session with happiness and peace of mind

Go unplugged

Turn your phone off. Go to the library and grab a book you wanted to read. Forget everyone else and stick your nose in that book for a few hours. Don't like books? Try a magazine. Don't like articles? Play solo games like solitaire or finish a puzzle. Being unplugged can help you relax and get away from all of the social pressure of love.

In conclusion, it really doesn't matter how you spend it or who you spend it with, as long as you are happy and enjoy your day; that's all that matters.
