Homecoming Vibes

Homecoming is a time for celebrating and being joyus in school spirit. This event-packed week consists of a football game, pep-rally, and the finale of course, the homecoming dance. The first event that took place was the pep-rally. With the principal’s help, this event was held in the Cornell High School gym with teachers and students from all grades attended. To start the pep-rally, Mrs. Thomas was recognized for outstanding innovation in her third grade classroom. During the pep-rally, all fall sports were recognized including football, basketball, volleyball, and more! At this year’s homecoming game your Cornell Raiders hosted the Rochester Rams at our high school. Before kickoff, homecoming court was announced. Court consisted of four couples and a gentleman going stag; Cy’Moni Harrison escorted by Daniel Garcia, Piper Kimble escorted by Desmond Ross, Hailey Leitner escorted by Steven Bass, Deshawn Lucas by himself, and your queen and king Myka Smith escorted by Thomas Johns. Following the football game was the homecoming dance at Cornell High School from 7:30 to 10:30pm. Food, music, and drinks were held in the gym along with positive vibes and laughter.
