National Children's Grief Awarness Day

November 16th was National Children’s Grief Awareness Day and Northern’s Care Team had a mission. With the help of Aevidum, both clubs set out to have every student wear the color blue in support of  grieving students. “Grief is a difficult thing and everyone deals with it differently. Showing support is the least we could do,” said Caitlin Tern, secretary of the Care Team.

One child in 20 will have a parent die before he or she graduates from high school, and the emotional baggage can be enormous. By wearing blue, the student body showed that they will always have their peer’s backs.
