On January 7th, 2017, Wellsboro High School held a winter dance. There were great decorations and free food this time, which normally doesn’t happen. They had cookies, chips, pretzels, chocolate, and even lollipops. All were arranged in a festive manner. There were lights and a balloon walk going onto the dance floor. In the middle of the night some of the lights fell and turned off. Luckily nobody was hurt.
Most of the people that came had a great time and some people who normally don’t dance were even dancing! The dj played some cool songs like “Single Ladies” by Beyonce, “Broccoli” featuring Lil Yachty and D.R.A.M., etc. Some little lovebirds decided to slow dance for about the whole time. Unfortunately some kids didn’t dance at all and decided to watch. Some kids from other schools even came! Overall everybody had a great time.
As for if the school should have more dances it’s a little iffy for some people. Lauren Singer says “No, they’re too long.” Caitlyn Callahan uttered “No, they’re boring.” Savana Baltzley declaimed “No, they aren’t fun.”On the other side….
Nathan Meyers from New Covenant said that he had a great time and that it was tons of fun. He also said that his school doesn’t have dances so this was a special experience for him.
