With the new redesign to Snapchat, there has been many responses and mostly for the negative. It has even lead to the creation of a petition on Change.org in hopes of Snap to remove the redesign update that has 1.2 million signed with a goal of 1.5 million.

With the significant media attention on their app, Snap Inc. responded to the petition.

The company says it understands that “the new Snapchat has felt uncomfortable for many”, but it’s not going anywhere as they have future plans to improve the update.

Coming soon to iOS, and in the future for Android, Snap will be adding features to help improve your experience. The next update will allow users to sort your categories such as Stories, Snaps, and Subscriptions; something the latest Snap suffers in.

To end their response, Snap Inc. said, “This new foundation is just the beginning, and we will always listen closely to find new ways to make the service better for everyone. We are grateful for your enthusiasm and creativity. We are very excited for what’s ahead.”

The new Snap is here to stay whether you like it or not, everyone using the platform is just going to have to adapt.
