Charlotte Bronte was a 19th century British author and poet whose novels include classics like Jane Eyre and Shirley. Bronte possessed the gift to create incredibly vivid pictures and was never afraid to flaunt her extensive vocabulary in her works.

For me, this quote captures the fighting and passionate spirit that resides within all of us. Especially in this day and age where ideas are being pushed on us left and right, it’s crucial for every person, no matter how old, to hold onto their independence of will and fight for what they believe in.
