Should Teens Go On Mission Trips?

Mission trips have proven to be very important in the spiritual growth of teens and for this reason, students should be involved in mission trips. When a teenager is involved in mission trips they can gain many benefits from it while helping others. Mission trips can help teens to broaden their perspectives, be more grateful for life, bring a group of teens together and help teens find their spiritual side. Mission trips can be beneficial not only to those who participate but also those who are on the receiving end of mission trips.

One of the many reasons we should go on mission trips is to broaden the perspective we have of life. Today, through mass media we are aware that other developing countries do not have the same opportunities as us. Through mission trips, we are able to see these situations first hand while helping these communities. By participating in mission trips we can experience the situations closely and thus teach us to value the situation we have at home. Mission trips also allow those who participate to change their views on life. After returning from mission trips many have said that they value what they have at home even more. While at mission trips you are able to see that the privileges you have at home are not available to others around the world. Going on mission trips can allow you to value life and the things you have because you are able to see the situations other people experience.

Mission trips are also beneficial in bringing a group of teens together. This means that teens are able to create friendships with people that have similar interest. While on mission trips, teens can interact with other people just like them and learn from each other. Mission trips can help teens create lasting friendships that are able to last many years. These types of trips can also help teens find a different side of their spiritual life. While at mission trips teens are able to connect with God and create a more peaceful relationship. The benefits of mission trips are infinite.

Overall, mission trips should be encouraged by various schools to allow their students to experience a different aspect of life and service. Mission trips can encourage teens to do service on a more extensive level whether globally or locally. Through mission trips, teens can gain many benefits that will be everlasting. It is encouraged that teens participate in mission trips if possible to gain a broader view of life that other people have.

I enjoy  spending time with my family, watching sports, and listening to music. My favorite singers include Sam Smith, and Adele, but I also enjoy listening to many other singers.
