Showcasing the art at Freedom High School

Students are always hard at work on their art projects no matter what time of the school day it is. Whether they are in art class, pottery, academic classes or in lunch, there are always students creating things.

Anywhere the students walk in the halls, the art follows them. There are murals and student work hung all through out the main lobbies at Freedom. This is a great showcase of all the different types of art and students that attend the school.

The art shows emotions and feelings of happiness and sadness. One student even made mason jars filled with paint colors to express these emotions through color. It is showcased in a large glass cylinder by the fountain for all the bypassers to see.

Other art hangs from the ceiling and is surrounded by the sunlight drifting in from the windows. There are bluebirds hung with strings at different lengths.

Walking into any art class at this school shows a whole new world filled with people who are passionate about the things they are creating. They are hard at work and almost never let a moment go to waste.

Sometimes there is not enough light shed on the arts, so it is refreshing to see that Freedom showcases it around the halls and in the annual art show held in April.

This year I am a senior at Freedom High School. This is my third time taking Journalism, and I will be taking for a fourth time next semester. Have fun checking out my posts! :)
