iPhone 7 Review

This year, as a sorta late surprise birthday gift, my parents bought me an iPhone 7 plus. I was upgrading from the iPhone 6, which as you can imagine was a huge adjustment. But, I fell in love.

I truly feel very strongly about my phone; however, there are some things that I do not appreciate as much. To begin, I must address the elephant in the room… I mean literally, the thing is HUGE. I went from a small tiny square that easily slid into any pockets to a true hand held computer. Although the size may be an inconvenience to some, this is one of my favorite parts. Now, when I watch Netflix, I can see the full picture, so to speak. All of the characters and scenes truly come to life before my eyes, which is a major adjustment from my last phone where I was squinting to see what was happening. This has also been an advantage to me academically. Now, with such a large screen, I can work on presentations and be in Google docs all at the same time.

My second most favorite part is definitely the camera. My mom takes photos of me where I could totally pass for a model (okay maybe that’s a slight exaggeration). But seriously, the nature shots are beautiful, and the portrait mode is incredible. They blur out the background and truly highlight the subject of the photo.

The only thing that drives me crazy is the new location of the headphone port. It is super annoying that I can’t charge my phone and use my headphones at the same time. Additionally, it makes it more inconvenient to use non-Apple headphones (which is probably the point) because of the adapter.

Overall, I am super thrilled with the final product. It is all around a really cool fun phone that fulfills all my true needs. I totally recommend it; 4.5 out of 5 stars for sure.
