On January 28th, Jordan Fisher returned to Broadway to play the role of Evan Hansen in Dear Evan Hansen. He succeeded Andrew Barth Feldman, the Evan Hansen for about a year before then. Along with Andrew Feldman leaving, Alex Boniello, the actor for Connor Murphy since Spring 2018, also left.
Jordan was previously on Broadway in 2016, playing John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in the well-known musical Hamilton. He has also been in multiple tv shows/broadcasting such as Liv and Maddie, Dancing With the Stars, and Grease: Live. Along with these achievements, he has made and released music. He has stated that he is honored to play this role on Broadway, where he can tell the story his own way. Dear Evan Hansen is about a teenager with anxiety that fabricates a friendship with a boy who committed suicide. It is a powerful story that many can relate to and has shown that you are not alone. Audiences are in for a treat with Jordan Fisher playing the lead.
