The yearbooks are here! They will be available for pickup Today and Wednesday during lunch periods. CTC students should message Mr. Jeremy Bischoff to have their book delivered to the office. If you didn't order one, there will be a limited supply available for purchase for $80 (tax included). Cash accepted or checks can be made to EASD with yearbook in the memo line.

The end of the year is approaching fast!  Please try to deplete your lunch account before May 29th.  If you are carrying a balance, as of June 4th, you may request a refund, providing you meet the guidelines.

Last Friday and Saturday, our track & field program competed in the Lancaster-Lebanon League Meet. The girls placed 5th out of 20 teams with a team score of 64 points. The boys placed 7th out of 21 teams with a team score of 41 points.

League Medalists Include:

3200 Meter Run: Lexi Roe 6th and Andrew Foster 4th

4x800 Meter Relay: Kelly Cummings, Lizzy Martin, Ashlyn Mazzocchi, and Sarah Heberlig 7th and Tanyon Loose, Nate Kimmel, Ray Truex, and Alex Auker 5th

100 Meter Hurdles: Talia Sheaffer 6th

100 Meter Dash: Anaya Johnson 5th

1600 Meter Run: Mary Campbell 4th, Alyssa Fedorshak 7th, Tyler Shue 2nd, and Andrew Foster 7th

4x100 Meter Relay: Annie Slovak, Faith Hershberger, Tamyra Martin, and Anaya Johnson 5th

800 Meter Run: Mary Campbell 3rd and Tyler Shue 1st

200 Meter Dash: Anaya Johnson 5th and Stefano Astudillo 7th

This past Friday and Saturday, athletes competed in the District III championships.

District Medalists and State Qualifiers Include:

3200 Meter Run: Andrew Foster 6th (state qualifier)

100 Meter Dash: Anaya Johnson 5th (state qualifier)

1600 Meter Run: Tyler Shue 2nd (state qualifier) and Mary Campbell 9th (state qualifier)

800 Meter Run: Tyler Shue 1st (state qualifier)

4x400 Meter Relay: Ben Kamide, Stefano Astudillo, Andrew Foster, and Tyler Shue 5th (state qualifier)

Javelin: Kandice Liebl 6th

 

School Records Set:

At the League Meet, Tyler Shue broke a record that was set back in the 1970s in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:15.20.

At the District III meet, Mary Campbell reset her record from this year in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:02.45.

 

Athletes who qualified for the State meet will compete this coming weekend. Wish them luck. Go MOUNTS!

Attention all Freshman, Sophomores, & Juniors.  Fall sports signups are underway on Schoology. Fall sports available are: boys & girls soccer, field hockey, football, girls tennis, girls volleyball,  coed golf, and coed cross country.    Please remember to sign up as soon possible.  If you have any questions please stop by the athletic office and ask Mrs. Cummings.

WHAT: Parents and players informational meeting

WHO: All who are interested in playing Boys or Girls Soccer in the fall of 2019

WHEN: Wednesday, May 29th at 6:30pm

WHERE Ephrata Middle School Turf Field

Open play will be held for both the Boys and Girls following the meeting.

All girls interested in field hockey in the fall,  there will be a parent information meeting on Thursday, May 30th in the high school media center starting at 7 pm.

All girls interested in girls volleyball, there will be a parent meeting on  Wednesday, May 29th at the middle school gym starting at 6:15 pm
