After taking a five year break, Avril Lavigne is finally releasing a new album. This new album will be her sixth studio album. Some of her most popular songs are “Wish You Were Here,” “Here’s To Never Growing Up,” and “Sk8er Boi.”

The lead song for this album, “Head Above Water,” was released on September 19th and the music video was released on the 27th. This song is about her battle against Lyme disease. She created a foundation called “The Avril Lavigne Foundation” that supports people with Lyme disease, serious illnesses, and disabilities. She performed this song on Jimmy Kimmel, which was her first TV appearance in years.
