Public speaking is something that most all people will need to do at least once in their lifetime, whether it is speaking before hundreds, or even just a couple of clients. Speech class here at East Juniata High School is the one class that really prepares each student for those times in their lives. The students have done multiple projects and speeches in front of their peers throughout the year. These projects include a persuasive speech, an informative speech, and more. Currently the students are working in groups to come up with a skit including multiple special occasion speeches. These special occasion speeches are ones such as a speech at a wedding or funeral, an award ceremony, or even an acceptance speech of an award. Taught by Mr. Benner, the speech class here at EJ is a class that all students enjoy and can relate to in one way or another.
