For CP 10, we are assigned journals in which we are required to write a certain number of creative pieces. The following is one of my favorites from last marking period. 

Water (False)
            You came for me in the night. You climbed inside of my body and held my heart in your hands. You were beautiful. Looking down at my sinking body, my eyelids closed, my hair splaying around my head like a halo, I looked beautiful, too. 
            Maybe this was how I was meant to go. Perhaps I was born to die. Perhaps dying with your hands pushing me down was a dream of mine. Perhaps this is what I’d been feeling for months anyway. It was a familiar feeling, being drowned by you. 
            I never really believed in love until you took my hand and walked into it with me. 
            I never really believed I could die until I was. 
            Drowning is so much easier than I thought it would be. It feels like a peaceful autumn breeze. At first, you can feel the air being pushed out of your lungs. You feel it tearing you up into shreds and leaving you. You feel it suffocating you. Then the rest is easy. It’s like riding a bike or writing your name. It’s like flowers blooming in your lungs that take up too much space and they’re making it harder and harder for you to breathe but they’re just so beautiful. 
            Isn’t that what makes it all worth it? They’re beautiful and that makes the pain feel more reasonable. They’re beautiful and when he looked at me I thought I could be, too. 
            I guess that’s the mystery of it all, right? How come you get to make me feel so useless and unlovable and then look at me like I matter and I believe I do?
            You’re giving me that look now, with your hands around my neck.
            To die would be an awfully big adventure.
            You drowned me in the water. You drowned me in the sea. 
            You lost me in the dark, dragged me to the deep, and let the water wash over me.
