This matchup has always been highly contested. After a loss earlier in the regular season, the tigers scored 2 goals in the TVL semi final game. The first was scored by Seth Strawser when there was a scrum in front of the net. This gave the tigers the advantage and they  built off of that to score another goal. The second goal was scored by Trent Watts with about 10 minutes left in the game, and the tigers went on to win the game with a shutout.
