Blade Runner Review

Blade Runner 2049 is a sequel to Ridley Scott's Blade Runner that was originally released on June 25, 1982. This new sequel takes place in a dystopian cyberpunk United States of America, where synthetic humans known as "Replicants" are used for slave labor. The main protagonist Officer K, (portrayed by Ryan Gosling) is a newer generation Replicant uncovers a secret during an investigation for the LAPD that could throw the whole world into chaos. This movie had many big name actors and actresses such as Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford,  Sean Young, and many more. Being a fan of the original, I didn't expect this movie to be all that good. Most Hollywood  movie "revivals" seem to have been blatant cash grabs that play on nostalgia. Blade Runner 2049 surpassed this expectation. The visuals were amazing, bringing back the classic feel into the movie, while advancing the timeline of it in a spectacular way. The movie's soundtrack accompanied by the never ending action kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. There was little dialogue in the movie however, which was a little dissatisfying. The only other problem I noticed was that this movie may not appeal to everyone, seeing as it is a sequel to a movie that not many younger people know about.
