Untranslatable Words

English is an immense language, but there's still words that we don't have. Many other languages have words that we don't have the words to explain in the English language. These words are untranslatable, but you'll find yourself understanding the concept that they are describing. Here are 10 words that English doesn't have: 

1.) Jayus (n) -  Indonesian, a joke so poorly told and so unfunny that no one can help but laugh 

2.) Tartle (v) - Scottish, the act of hesitating while introducing someone because you've forgotten their name 

3.) Tingo (v) - Pascuense, taking things one desires from a friend's house by gradually borrowing them one by one 

4.) Gigil (v) - Filipino, the urge to pinch or squeeze something that is irresistibly cute 

5.) Treppenwitz (n) - German, when you finally come up with the perfect comeback long after you can use it 

6.) Uffda (n) - Uffda, an declamation for when someone else is in pain 

7.) Fargin (v) - Yiddish, to wholeheartedly appreciate the success of others 

8.) Pochemuchka (n) - Russian, a person who asks too many questions 

9.) Abbiocco (n) - Italian, the drowsiness you feel after eating a big meal 

10.) Sarong (v) - Korean, the wish to be with someone until death
