How to Handle an Easter Candy Hangover

Whether one celebrates Easter or not, the holiday produces so much candy that it becomes difficult to avoid. With most stores marking Easter-themed candy as half-off after the holiday ends, it can be hard to find a use for all the tempting leftovers. To do more than just eat the decadent morsels of Easter-y goodness, check out some of the tips listed below.

If one still wishes to consume their Easter candy, there are some ways to use it in baking to create different desserts. For example, one could melt down the chocolate and mix it into cake batter to make a more decadent chocolate cake. Peeps can also be melted down and be made into a marshmallow fluff that can be used in cakes, pies, and other desserts.

With prom just around the corner and many people struggling to come up with last-minute promposals, Easter candy can be used to resolve this problem. One could simply line a poster with small chocolate bunnies and write in the middle: “I would be very HOPPY if you would go to prom with me.” Not only would it take pressure off coming up with a more creative promposal, but it would also provide candy for all involved.

As a last ditch resort to rid oneself of the burden of consuming an unhealthy amount of chocolate eggs, the candy could be used as trade currency during school hours. Forget a pencil? Trade a Reese’s Egg for one. Need to bribe someone? A chocolate bunny should do the trick.

If all else fails, simply taking candy to the staff of the Clypian and donating it to the working people of Room 11 would not be turned down.
