No Tariff. For Now.

The administration stepped down from its threat to implement tariffs on Mexican imports after Mexico agreed to staunch the flow of migrants through the US border. 

President Trump tweeted "The Tariffs scheduled to be implemented by the U.S. on Monday, against Mexico, are hereby indefinitely suspended, Mexico, in turn, has agreed to take strong measures to stem the tide of Migration through Mexico, and to our Southern Border."

In a devilish turn, Hadestown was the big winner at the 2019 Tony Awards winning eight Tonys, including best musical. And Ali Stroker became the first wheelchair user to win an award, for her role as as Ado Annie, the girl who “cain’t say no” in the revival of “Oklahoma.

Saudi Arms Deal Drama

A rare bipartisan moment  in the Senate.   A bill sponsored by Sens. Todd Young, R-Ind., and Chris Murphy, D-Conn., who both sit on the Foreign Relations Committee, was put forth that would force a vote on current and future U.S. arms sales and other military support to Saudi Arabia. The senators and many other lawmakers have joined forces over the  President's attempts to bypass Congress on foreign policy.
