Get ready to celebrate a furry friend, because National Golden Retriever Day is Today, February 3! The Golden Retriever is one of the most popular dog breeds in the US, and for good reason. The calm temperament, intelligence, and playfulness make them ideal best friends for any dog lover. Plus, they make great disability assistance animals, like seeing eye dogs for the blind and hearing dogs for the deaf.

Attention all college bound Senior athletes:

At the beginning of 3rd period TODAY Friday, February 3rd , we would like to get a group photo of any Senior athlete who intends to play college athletics next year. Please stop by the athletic office and see Mrs. Cummings for a pass if you would like to be included in the photo and wear some sort of apparel representing the college that you will attend. See Mr. O’Donnell with any questions.

This important announcement is for any senior whose prospective college requires a mid-year transcript.  While the majority of colleges do not require these, you should double check to see if your school needs an updated transcript.  If so, login to Naviance to request one ASAP.

If you have any questions, stop by the counseling office to check with Mrs. Ditzler.

Attention Juniors: Thaddeus Stevens college will be hosting a College Fair on Tuesday March 14th.  This fair attracts approximately 100 different colleges, universities, and trade school representatives.  This is a great opportunity for 11th graders to interact with and learn about different colleges, which was a main focus of recent Junior Transition meetings.

Space is limited, so if you are interested, please print out a field trip permission packet from Schoology or pick one up from the Counseling Office and return it asap.
