Last night, an extraordinarily rare phenomenon, known as a lunar occultation of Mars, happened around the moon’s peak fullness. This happens when Mars disappears behind the moon for a short period of time. Although the clouds prevented clear viewing from our area, it was visible in much of the rest of the Northern Hemisphere.

Today is national Brownie Day. That's the dessert, not the camera manufactured by the Kodak company from 1929-1960 which revolutionized personal photography.

On the girls side, Madison Kimmel and Ava Knopsnyder led the way with two individual wins. Megan Martin, Allie Ludwig, Addy Zimmerman, and Kauri Parsons each earned an individual win for the girls. All three relays were won by the Lady Mounts.
