A Teen Angst Poem in the time of the Pandemic.

Pandemic Poem.

Mom. Yes, I’m okay.

Dad, no I don’t want to do a puzzle.

Mom, I don’t want to talk about my feelings.

When will this be over?

I want to see my friends.

I want to play basketball.

I want to see that show.

I’m not lonely.

I’m so lonely.

Mom, I don’t want to come out of my room.

Mom, I don’t want to talk about this.

Mom, I don’t want to talk to anyone today.

I want to go to junior prom.

I want to hold my boyfriend’s hand.

I want to go to the park and laugh.

Dad, I don’t want to do that online class.

I’m not hungry.

I want Starbucks.

When will this be over?

When, will this be over?  Will this be over?
