India was hoping to become the fourth country to land a vessel on the moon, and one of only three countries to operate a robotic rover on the surface.
Cameras from the moon mission’s orbiter managed to spot the rover on the moon's surface and efforts are underway to establish communication.

Pompeo said that the Taliban's attack last week prompted Trump's decision to cancel the meetings which were built during months of painstaking negotiations that some had hoped would produce a peace deal in the chaotic region.
