17 Minutes: National Student Walkout

Students walked out of classrooms all across the country at 10am for 17 minutes to show solidarity for the 17 students killed in the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School a month ago. The school walkout was organized by student activists of the Women’s March Youth Empower group, and more than 2,800 schools committed to the protest. The walkout was the first of three scheduled protests that call for changes in gun legislation.
