There has been a lot of press on the "Dreamers" ever since President Trump announced he was setting a six month deadline for ending the DACA program. What exactly is DACA and who are the Dreamers?

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) is an Obama-era policy that protects the children of immigrants who were brought to the United States illegally. DACA's aim is to protect eligible immigrant youth who came to the United States when they were children from deportation and also gives young undocumented immigrants the ability to obtain a work permit.
