New Console Hits Stores November 2017

The next chronicle of the Xbox series will be introduced by this November. Microsoft’s latest console, originally named “Project Scorpio,” will officially be known as the Xbox One X. Just in time for the holidays, the Xbox One X is poised to take the gaming world by storm come November 7th 2017 for the price of $499.

Older Games Can Be Played on New Console

Microsoft is continuing the tradition of games from the previous console working on their newest released console. All existing Xbox 360 backwards compatible titles and Xbox One games will work on the Xbox One X. To step it up, Microsoft is also planning to use a tactic called “super sampling” to make their newest games look even better on a 1080p television.

6 Teraflops of Graphical Power

The Xbox One X is bringing 6 teraflops of graphical power to the table. This puts the Xbox One X ahead of its most notable competitor, the PlayStation 4 Pro, which only contains 4.2 teraflops. Microsoft's advantage in graphical power will force people to choose the Xbox One X over the PlayStation 4 Pro despite costing nearly $100 more.

Smallest Xbox Console Ever

Microsoft promises the Xbox One X to be the “smallest Xbox ever.”  The console’s design is aesthetically similar to the Xbox One S that was released last summer. Similar to the Xbox One S, the new Xbox One X includes an HDMI in port and doesn’t have a dedicated Kinect port. Microsoft is hoping that having the same capabilities as the S with a sleeker, thinner design is what will separate the Xbox One X from the competition aesthetically. With Nintendo’s release of the portable “Switch,” aesthetic convenience is a crucial factor.

FORZA MOTORSPORT 7 = First Big Title

The Xbox One X will break the ice with the release of Forza Motorsport 7. The game is said to be the most visually spectacular Motorsport game created. Lifelike cars, realistic tracks and mesmerizing skylines are what you can expect from Microsoft this time around.

Motorsport 7’s goal is to emphasize realism. From the mirrors inside the cockpit to the windshield wipers shaking at high speeds, the game seeks to give you an experience unlike Motorsport games in years past.

You can also expect more cars. Motorsport 7 is offering 700 cars when the game is launched, dwarfing the 450 cars available in Motorsport 6. Gamers can play on 30 different tracks with nearly 200 other configurations. The game also has a dynamic weather system that changes for every race.
