If you could change something from your high school years, what would it be?

Even at a small school like Shanksville you tend to have a small group of friends you constantly hang out with. My high school years seemed to only be spent with my classmates, and eventually I became closer with the underclassmen. If I could change something from my high school years, it would be to try harder to build friendships with people I don’t usually get to talk to, instead of choosing to stick with my normal clique. It took me until my senior year to gain strong relationships with people I hardly ever knew. I’d pass someone in the hallway or stand behind them in the line for lunch and never wanted to make the extra effort to reach out to them and get to know them. I know now that I was missing out on so many amazing friendships that didn’t blossom till the end of my time in high school.  I look to improve on this aspect as I move on in my life.
