Education and Work : W.E.B. Du Bois


William Edward Burghardt, later known as W.E.B Du Bois played a prominent role in the fight for African-American right as cofounder of the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People). Du Bois was also the first African-American to gain a doctorate and went on to becoming a professor at Atlanta University.
