2021 has been a big year for movies and TV. With the release of several Marvel projects after a year of nothing, there was the announcement of Don’t Worry Darling, and much more. After almost two years of quiet, Marvel Studios released three TV shows, two movies, and a long awaited movie trailer.
It’s safe to say that no one was expecting Wandavision to unfold in the way it did. American Horror Story has made a comeback this year as well. The first half of AHS: Double Feature began on August 25th, following the story of a screenwriter trying to cure his writer’s block. Over the summer, the second Suicide Squad movie was released. This second movie, starring Margot Robbie, John Cena, and Idris Elba, had far better reviews than the first. Harry Styles and Florence Pugh, two beloved celebrities, are starring in an upcoming psychological thriller. Don’t Worry Darling, directed by Olivia Wilde, features a 1950’s housewife and her husband who is up to no good. While living in an experimental society, Alice (Florence Pugh) begins to wonder if her husband's company is too good to be true. Could the luxurious corporation be hiding disturbing secrets? What is Jack (Harry Styles) keeping from Alice? There are many questions regarding this movie, and they will all be answered when it hits theatres in September of 2022.
There is much more to come from the cinematic world, who knows what’s next? With the new season of Bridgerton in the making, the teaser for the fourth season of Stranger Things being released, fans everywhere are impatiently waiting.
