NOW OVER TO ____ WITH THE NEWS

--------------------------

NEWS INTRO VIDEO

------------------

In today’s news, California Highway Patrol endured a wild goose chase, or maybe more aptly named, a wild emu chase this last Friday. No one knows where this emu came from, from a zoo or maybe a private owner, either way the bird was safely secured on California Highway 99 and was rightfully brought into custody.

On this day in history, George Washington placed the first cornerstone of the U.S Capitol building in 1793. The legendary laying of the stone was documented extensively, however for hundreds of years the actual location of the stone was lost, until a recent investigation occurred and found the ceremonial stone in the foundation of the Capitol building. Despite this discovery, the engraving said to be on the stone has not been found.

NOW OVER TO __ WITH LUNCH

-----------------------

SPORTS INTRO VIDEO

--------------

Yesterday in sports,  tennis won 6-1 vs Cocalico, boys and girls cross country lost at Cedar Crest, boys soccer tied 1-1 at E town, girls soccer won 2-0 vs E town, and volleyball won 3-1 vs Manheim Central

today, tennis is home vs CV.

--------------------------

NOW BACK TO THE MAIN DESK

---------------------------

From the Principals: Please be reminded that you should only have one ear bud in when using them. This is so others are still able to communicate with you. And yes this applies to the lunch lines. We have had too many issues lately with cafeteria staff trying to communicate with students who can’t hear them because they have both ear buds in.

------------------------

If you are interested in taking the PSAT on Wednesday October 16, please come to the Guidance Office to sign up and get your student guide.  Sign ups will close at the end of day on Friday September 20.

----------------------------

Attention all HS students, Are you interested in working with Elementary Students?  Sign-ups for the MOUNTS Buddy Program with Fulton Elementary students will be on 9/24, in the cafeteria, during lunch. If interested, please look for Mrs. Lyons & Ms. Davies to find out more information about this exciting program!!!

----------------------------

That's it for us today Ephrata. See you here again tomorrow!
