Grammy Awards Take a Political Turn

The Grammys rating took a hit after viewers seemed turned off by the political tenor of the show. The broadcast featured performances by Kendrick Lamar, U2, Lady Gaga, Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, Sam Smith, Childish Gambino, Patti Lupone and more. Bruno Mars was the big winner of the night taking home album, record and song of the year.

State of the Union 

President Donald Trump will make his first State of the Union address on Tuesday. Many hope it will be an opportunity to move forward on his agenda for his second year in office and get things moving despite the threat of another government shutdown. Trump will likely also try to put a positive spin on the contentious immigration policy fight and the border wall.

Federer is Champ Again 

Roger Federer captured his sixth Australian Open title and cemented his GOAT reputation with the victory putting him at 20 Grand Slam wins. The 36-year-old champ seems rejuvenated at an age most players are wrapping up their careers, but Federer is peaking once again. The one thing Federer is missing is a gold medal, but he may get that chance in the 2020 games in Tokyo.
