Yearbook Takes a Road Trip

The senior yearbook editing staff took an overnight excursion to State College, Pennsylvania this past Wednesday. They were accompanied by yearbook adviser, Jennifer Herrmann, and art teacher, Amanda Tucci. The staff enjoyed the scenic autumn drive and were lucky enough to catch the last of the changing leaves as they traveled westward. The first stop was Jostens corporate office, based in State College, where the yearbook crew was able to meet with their service representative, Dee Skelton, who gave them the grand tour. The workshop featured a staff training session in photography, layout and caption writing. Students were then able to work with Jostens long-time staff artist, Bob Eyster, who expertly crafted a sketch for the 2018 cover design using student input. The staff stayed in downtown State College, where they enjoyed a tour of campus and experienced the downtown dining options.

"Being able to brainstorm with multiple creative people in order to fully develop our theme was very helpful. Also, bonding with fellow yearbook staff members was an amazing experience." - Sydney Cashwell, Senior Yearbook Editor
