As part of their final projects  last year, the IB Visual Arts HL2 students explored the theme of “thinking globally, acting locally” through their artwork. The local piece consisted of the planning and creation of new murals in the halls of LBHS, the global part was their participation in The Memory Project.  Our HS artists created portraits for children in orphanages and youth programs in the Congo.    This is such a wonderful endeavor, and the students who worked on the portraits put a lot of time and love into them.  Mr. Fox plans to continue the project this year with his new group of HL2 students on the 2017-18 school year.
