Attention all 11th graders:  Reminder that you need to sign up for a time slot for your individual transition meeting with your counselor now.  These meetings begin on January 25th and signup information can be found on the EHS Counseling Department website.  Sign up for a slot as soon as possible, and be sure to pick a date and time that works best with your schedule.  If you have a study hall, you will definitely want to choose that period.  Heck, why not do it right now- pull out your laptop and pick a date and time.

Now over to Paige with the news
A team from Ben-Gurion University has successfully taught goldfish to maneuver a robotic car on land, via a top-down camera that monitors their movements around a small fish tank
The camera in the “fish-operated vehicle” uses motion sensing technology to send a signal to one of its four wheels whenever a fish swims close to a side of the fish tank. Over time the fish learned that their movements would correspond to the movements of the vehicle.
The fish were successfully trained to reach a pink target at the opposite end of a room in return for a fish food reward — something they could do repeatedly and even with obstacles in their way.
Who loves Panera?! I know I do! On Saturday January 15th, come to the Ephrata Panera from 4-8 PM. Show them the flyer on the EHS Mini-THON Insta or use in the code "PRFUND" for online orders.  A portion of proceeds from all orders will be donated to EHS Mini-THON.
There are only 3 school days remaining in the first semester of the school year. On January 18, students will transition to their second semester classes. Mini-THON will be hosting a design contest. The challenge: Desing a T-Shirt for this year's Disney Mini-THON. The design must represent the theme, say Ephrata Mini-THON, and be a maximum of two colors. Check out the flyers around the school or the post on Schoology for more info on how to submit the design. The winning design will earn a free t-shirt and entry to Mini-THON this year! Designs are due January 31st. We can't wait to see what you come up with!
And who is judging the shirts, you may ask. Why, Snow White of course. She's the fairest of them all.
Have a great day Ephrata!
